Introduction of play:
We are in constant metamorphose, nothing in life is eternal. Time changes, our relationships and values alter. As companions of waning time, changes are a steady guide on our movements through life. The only perpetual evidence is the constant movement of life which is recreating incessantly. In our lifetime we have to deal with birth and death, with upcoming and leaving relations. We have to be ready for new challenges and we have to be able to say goodbye to beloved persons, to cherished conditions. Do changes also mean chance, luck? Change is not a narrative performance but a succession of allegorical scenes speaking of change.
The dancers adjust their muscular tension as we adjust our mental standpoints to upcoming events in life. They fight against themselves or against each other as we struggle in daily life to integrate new, unknown conditions or to leave comfortable, well-known situations. By a playful alternating of duos and solos, in which the bodies geometry changes, they express the new situations and relationships we are faced with. The piece ends with a sequence of free moving bodies on the floor, accepting the flowing transformation of the body-shape, with no resistance, supply, delicately and playfully as our attitude to life should be.
